Gasification sealing technology for pumps

External single Seal tandem dry gas seal External pressure double face seal Internal pressure double face seal Gu Yongquan, Wang Jianrong, etc., from 1988 to 1990, first developed and tested the pumped arc groove gas lubricated mechanical seal.

In 1992, John Crane Company of the United States was granted the patent of two-way gas lubricated mechanical seal in the United States. Novovitch and Zeiss of Bergman Company of Germany developed DGS type circular arc groove gas lubricated mechanical seal for intermediate ring and groove type gas lubricated mechanical seal for radial straight groove, inverted T groove, V groove and cross circular arc groove, which can be used for dry gas seal for pumps; In 1995, Duramitec Company of the United States produced circular arc groove gas lubricated mechanical seal for pumps, which can be used as a zero escape seal.

In 1996, Pecht studied the spiral groove dry gas seal system through laboratory and field experiments, and believed that the dry gas seal could be used in hydrocarbon media, and the dry gas seal could adapt to harsh working conditions, meet the requirements of low leakage and torque, and can operate for a long period (1 year, 10 months and 2 years), providing a theoretical and experimental basis for the seal of olefin and hydrocarbon pumps.

In 1998, Douglas Volden and James PNetzel studied the dry gas seal for chemical pump, and they pointed out that the dry gas seal is the most reliable and most reliable mechanical seal at present. This Sealing method can be used under very complex working conditions, such as high parameters (high pressure, high speed, high temperature, large diameter), high performance (dry running, zero leakage, oil-free lubrication, slurry). And the dry gas seal system for pump is designed and developed. The system is applied to a chemical plant, and the operation is stable and very progressive.

Hao Muming et al. studied the zero escape non-contact mechanical seal for pump in 2002, discussed the working principle and technical advantages of dry gas seal for rotor pump, and briefly introduced the service conditions and scope of dry gas seal for rotor pump.

In 2003, Guo Jie et al. developed non-contact mechanical seals based on the hydrodynamic lubrication theory and the specific process conditions of high-speed pumps, and used advanced precision machining technology to process industrial application seals. The non-contact mechanical seal was theoretically analyzed by using the finite element method, and its performance was studied on the multi-function high parameter seal experimental device, which fully proved that the new non-contact mechanical seal has good sealing performance and anti-interference capability within the working condition range. And the new non-contact mechanical seal developed independently was applied to the high-speed pump, and it was a one-time success.

Zhao Liang measured some main performance parameters of the actual application and compared them with the theoretical values through the production field application experiment of the 2800 type mechanical seal of John Crane Company, and confirmed that the application of this seal on the pump with low speed is appropriate, and all indicators are better than the common mechanical seal which is widely used now. Typical products of dry gas seals for pumps<20>Since the 1990s, seal companies around the world have successively developed a series of dry gas seal technology products for pumps.
